In celebration of international Women’s Day, Massmart has donated R1 million to the Female Academic Leaders Fellowship (FALF) NPC’s – Nonjulabuchopho Project, that researches Gender Based Violence and alcohol abuse.

Heeding President Cyril Ramaphosa’s call for greater private sector support in the fight against Covid-19, the Massmart Board and Executive Committee will personally fund, through a waiver of a portion of their monthly remuneration, 230 tons of food for distribution to vulnerable communities.

As part of this commitment, Massmart delivered an initial consignment of 90 tons of food to Gift of the Givers and FoodForward SA to replenish their warehouses
