Massmart has been rated as a top graduate employer in the 2023 Momentum Metropolitan Students Choice Awards.
The 2023 awards, which recognize the employers that students most want to work for, were based on submissions received from 5 539 tertiary students who were asked to identify their top five preferred employers. Student responses were entirely spontaneous and are representative of each student’s personal understanding of the graduate employment marketplace.
Commenting Muhammed Vally, Massmart’s Acting Chief People Officer said, “Massmart has a very well established 12-month long programme that covers a combination of carefully curated modules including; Strategic Thinking, New Leader Experience, Financial Acumen, Presentation Skills, and eCommerce, that are designed to prepare our new graduates for success in the retail industry. We are so pleased to have been recognized as a top 3 retail-employer in the 2023 Momentum Metropolitan Students Choice Awards.”
A total of 30 new graduates from a variety of degree back grounds such as; Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Data Science, Finance/Commerce, Human Resources, Retail Management and Horticulture will be welcomed onto Massmart’s 2024 Graduate Trainee Programme which starts in February 2024.
